“Birth work is my calling—not just a career or job. I truly believe that I can make a meaningful difference in the birth and postpartum experiences of the families I serve. I will be by your side as your cheerleader, trusting you to make the best decisions for your family and advocating for you in support of those choices.”
Alexandra began her journey in birth work as a doula, drawn to the importance of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As her passion for empowering families deepened, she transitioned into midwifery, currently pursuing her Certified Professional Midwifery (CPM) training through the Midwives College of Utah while apprenticing under a licensed midwife in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Her work is rooted in holding space for autonomy, ensuring that families feel respected and informed when making choices about their care, provider, and experience.
Her commitment to equitable care extends beyond midwifery. Alexandra actively volunteers with and fundraises for Postpartum Support International - South Carolina (PSI-SC), NAMI of the Lowcountry, and provides free or subsidized doula services to low-income families, families of color, and LGBTQ+ families. She collaborates with a local maternal mental health therapy practice and leads free or low-cost support groups for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD).
In her professional practice, Alexandra is a kink, poly, and LGBTQIA+ friendly provider, welcoming individuals and families of all backgrounds with compassion and respect.
With strong roots in community values, Alexandra’s work is not confined to individual care. She actively fosters networks to expand access to birth and mental health support in underserved areas. She is particularly focused on building community-centered care models in South Carolina and Georgia, ensuring equitable, respectful, and inclusive care for all families.
Through her leadership at Balanced Birth Doula Agency and her midwifery training, Alexandra is committed to standing alongside families throughout their reproductive journeys, ensuring they feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way.
